Out door cooking

Pancakes Challenge.

Learning how to use a gas cooker safely, and how to do dishes camp style.

Term 1 2016

With no classroom, we took on the challenge to give students the experience of outdoor cooking.

All students completed 2 challenges out of 3 -

  1. To Make a Scroggin (snack food to take tramping)
  2. Cook a cake in a billy.
  3. The tin foil challenge.

The Tinfoil challenge - To cook an American Hot Dog.
  1. Slice bread roll down the center.
  2. Insert frankfurter
  3. Wrap them in tinfoil and place in a cardboard box.
  4. Set box on fire.
This can also be done with a banana and chocolate.
